About Us

The original company, Edgware Motor Accessories, was established in 1945 supplying body trimmings and car accessories.  The Company also did non car projects, including supplying seating to Wembley Stadium. Then, in 1968, the Company split into two divisions, one for seating and the other for rubber trim, rail, boat and engineering companies.

Steve Shivick acquired the company in the mid-sixties building it up to become a leading specialist in supplying upholstery trimming, rubber seals and trim to the vintage and classic car enthusiast, professional restoration experts and to the contemporary motor industry.  Many items being made to the original specification.   Over the years Steve collected and catalogued profiles and part numbers of many cars, and built up a database of over 700 rubbers and trims.  He also supplied to famous customers including actor Herbert Lom from the Pink Panther films, Hugh Scully  from the Antiques Roadshow, who wanted door seals for his soundproof home studio and Mike Brewer now the presenter of Wheeler Dealers. We even supplied rubber for the Star Wars and Bond films.  Steve’s expertise and knowledge earned him the nickname ‘The Rubber Man’.
